About the Role

We're looking for a hungry, resourceful GTM Associate Intern to help build CarbonMeter's sales engine from scratch. You'll work directly with the founders to identify target customers, generate leads, and convert UK manufacturers into pilot customers. This isn't a “make coffee and shadow meetings” internship — you'll own real pipeline, talk to real prospects, and directly influence our revenue trajectory. We're backed by NVIDIA Inception and AWS Activate, deploying IoT carbon monitoring at sites including Rolls-Royce and BMW/MINI, and we need someone to help us scale from 4 pilots to 50+ customers.

What You'll Do

• Research and build targeted prospect lists of UK SME manufacturers, warehouses, and commercial buildings that need carbon monitoring
• Conduct outbound outreach (email, LinkedIn, cold calls) to generate qualified leads and book discovery calls
• Support founder-led sales calls — prepare briefs, take notes, and follow up with prospects
• Develop and test GTM messaging, email sequences, and pitch materials based on what resonates
• Map the competitive landscape — track what FourJaw, Kaizen Reporting, and others are doing
• Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking meetups to build pipeline
• Manage CRM (HubSpot) — keep pipeline data clean, track conversion metrics, and report weekly
• Coordinate pilot onboarding — work with technical team to schedule site surveys and installations
• Create case study drafts from pilot site results (energy savings, carbon reduction data)
• Support Innovate UK grant applications and partnership proposals with market research

What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
• Genuine interest in climate tech, sustainability, or industrial decarbonisation
• Strong written and verbal communication — you can write a compelling cold email
• Comfortable with ambiguity — this is a startup, not a structured graduate scheme
• Self-starter who takes initiative without waiting to be told what to do
• Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot, or similar tools is a plus
• Basic understanding of B2B sales cycles and SaaS business models
• Based in UK or able to work UK hours (some travel to pilot sites may be required)

Nice to Have

• Experience in energy, sustainability, or manufacturing sectors
• Understanding of UK carbon regulations (CBAM, SECR, ESOS)
• Previous internship or project experience in sales, BD, or marketing
• Comfort with data — you'll be working with energy consumption numbers and ROI calculations
