What it is
- In one line
- CarbonMeter traces the carbon in what a business buys to the plant that made it, and measures the carbon a business makes itself, so its numbers are measured, not estimated.

- CBAM, SECR and ESOS reporting with audit trails, plus multi-site benchmarking.
CBAM supplier data
- What a pilot does
- Maps a UK importer's CBAM goods to the plants that made them and what those plants run on, then collects each supplier's actual embedded-emissions data in place of government default values.
- Regulatory basis
- UK CBAM starts on 1 January 2027 for aluminium, cement, fertilisers, hydrogen, and iron and steel; importers may report actual embedded emissions or use default values (HMRC and HM Treasury policy summary, gov.uk).

- Pilots
- A subset of assets, usually the highest-consumption ones, over about six weeks; quoted after a short scoping call. You keep the baseline.
